Here at Waves Campsite, we have a range of camp sites, powered and non-powered, that can accommodate all sizes of vehicles and/or tents. We also have all weather sites with hard standing.
There are 17 powered sites for motorhomes, caravans and other power-supported vehicles.
Then we have over numerous unpowered / tent sites with expansive unmarked space in the adjacent paddock can accommodate all types of vehicles buses, caravans, tents of all sizes. There is also remote riverside camping for self-contained vehicles only.
Whatever your requirements, we are sure we can arrange a pleasant stay for you.

Our beautiful, modern cabins at Waves Campsite in Havelock can accommodate a single person up to a family of four. Cabin bed combinations are Double or Double + Two Bunks.
We have 6 cabins with high quality comfortable beds and all linen is included. For those looking for backpacker-style accommodation, we have 8 bunkhouse beds set up in a couple of the cabins.
The cabins are situated close to the kitchen and other facilities providing easy access for that quick cuppa after your journey.
Cabin booking is advised especially around local festivals such as the Havelock Mussel Festival.

Why tow your caravan or boat all the way home when you can safely leave it with us, ready for your next trip out on the sounds.
We also offer Vehicle, Boat and Caravan storage here at Waves Campsite. This is available on a long-term or short-term basis.
You get to save a whole load of fuel and have the added convenience of easy access when you need it!

Permanent Sites
Waves Campsite has a number of fenced sites with all amenities for longstay visitors. You will have your own private fenced area with an all-weather foundation. All you have to do is bring your caravan/motorhome.
Rental sites from $180 pw.
This really is a great place to live permanently if you are looking to settle down. The picture shows where Ray lives. He has been with us over 25 years! No that is not a typo. As Ray would say, "I've spent 20+ years living in paradise and I don't even have to cut the lawn."
These permanent resident sites will suit those who want a place to call home and to be part of a small community (max 10 sites) of caring individuals. Above all, you will have your own private site in what we like to think of as a wee slice of paradise.
You have access to the river that bounds the property with safe swimming holes. There is extra storage space available for boats / cars if required.
We wish to maintain a high standard for everyone on the site so will not accept caravans or motorhomes that are unsightly or in general poor condition.
Smokers OK, pets negotiable. SMALL well behaved dogs (no yapping barkers) may be accepted.

FACILITIES - Kitchen and Bathroom
We believe every visitor at Waves Campsite should have access to impeccably clean, modern kitchen and bathroom facilities. We have spared no expense on delivering this and are very proud of the resulting great comments by our campers.
The kitchen is well-equipped with cooking facilities, utensils, fridges, and freezers.
There are mens and ladies toilet/shower plus a unisex toilet/shower with wheelchair access.
SALOON
At the end of the day, how about chilling out in the TV lounge and Dead Wood Saloon where you can share with others your New Zealand adventures past and future while you cook up something great in the BBQ area just outside.
There is an international power point charging station, stereo and BYO bar with bar fridge. Expansive attached sunfilled outdoor deck with tables and chairs. (see photos below).

Dump station for grey/blackwater to septic system.
Laundry with Washing Machine and drier. Outdoor washing lines situated in camp grounds.
NOTE: Good mobile signal with Spark. Limited mobile with Vodaphone and 2 degrees.
